Upper canal is always best, lower canal needs to be packed in. One or two perpetually muddy spots which should be walked.

Canal trails are open until they turn soft with the thaw. Park at Saganaskee Boat Launch or Saganashkee East.

Canal is open but, the later in the day you go, the better the trails will be. XX Extension and Canal good. XX should be the last thing you hit, as it is still a little damp. Park at Saganaskee Boat Launch or Saganashkee East.

It'll be a really small window Saturday morning. Plan to start at sunrise and be off Stonehouse, Gravity Cavity, One Day and 3 Ravines by 7:30. The northern trails will last a little longer, but not much.
